The Blue Notes' debut CD was recorded January, 2005 and released in April of the same year.  It consists of 12 original tracks, two of which feature the vocals of Rachel Franks.  The disc also includes: McDonald Cary -- Hammond B3 organ, Steve Himes -- guitars and Chris Hudson -- drums.

The solid grooves on this album range from shuffles to swings to Brazilian to funk and beyond.  This is the first recording for Mac and Rachel and most everyone agrees that it's about time.  Chris appears on both recordings by The Steve Himes Connection as, of course, does Steve.
